Our services
Three services, each done carefully.
Bua Horology offers three distinct watch repair services — each defined by the type of work involved, priced in Thai Baht, and accompanied by written documentation.
Back to homeThe approach across all services
Receive & examine
The watch is examined before any tools are applied. Initial condition is noted in writing.
Written assessment
A written note describing the findings and proposed work is shared with the owner before proceeding.
Careful bench work
Service is carried out to the agreed scope. Any new findings are communicated before work continues.
Return & document
The finished watch is returned with a written service record describing the work carried out.
Service one
Quartz and Battery Visit
A short workshop appointment for everyday quartz watches. The visit includes battery replacement with the appropriate cell, light cleaning of contacts and circuit pads, gasket inspection, and a basic functional check of the date wheel, hands, and any subsidiary indications. Suitable for daily wearers, gift watches, and quartz pieces that have been sitting unused for some time.
Watches are usually ready within a few working days, accompanied by a brief written note describing the work carried out and any small observations for future care.

Service two
Modern Mechanical Tune-Up
A focused servicing session for modern mechanical watches less than fifteen years old, covering hand cleaning of the movement, lubrication of contact points, regulation of timing in several positions, gentle case and bracelet refresh where the owner approves it, and pressure testing where the case allows.
The session is suited to daily-wear mechanical pieces that have been losing time, gaining moisture, or simply have not been looked at for a while. A short report is provided that describes the movement's behaviour before and after the visit.
What is included:
Service three
Antique Pocket Watch Care
A patient restoration service for inherited and antique pocket watches, often dating from the early twentieth century. The work involves diagnostic disassembly, cleaning of plates and wheels, inspection of mainsprings and balance staffs, sourcing of period-appropriate spares where they can be located, and reassembly without unnecessary cosmetic changes.
The aim is to keep the piece running comfortably for daily use or display while preserving its character. Updates are shared in writing at each meaningful stage, and any decision affecting the look of the piece is referred back to the owner.

Workshop standards that apply to all services
These are not policies written for a page — they are the way the workshop runs.
Secure custody
Watches not on the bench are stored in individual padded compartments. The workshop is secured after hours.
Calibrated lubrication
Watch-grade lubricants, applied with appropriate tools. Neither over-lubrication nor under-lubrication.
Proper examination
Every watch is examined under magnification before and after bench work. Nothing leaves the workshop unchecked.
Full documentation
Service records are kept internally and a copy accompanies the watch. These form a maintenance history for the piece.
Owner consent at each step
No scope changes, cosmetic decisions, or additional costs are incurred without the owner's knowledge and agreement.
Data handled with care
Customer contact details and watch records are stored securely and used only in the context of the service being provided.
Service pricing
All prices are in Thai Baht and cover the full standard scope of work described. Parts beyond routine lubricants and seals are discussed separately if they arise.
